Vacancy - VP Legal Cashier
Solicitors Own Software is an established, dynamic IT company based in Bath and a leading supplier of software to the legal profession. Virtual Practices is our Software as a Service division that offers an outsourced Legal Accounts service to a rapidly expanding customer base of smaller and start-up legal practices.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Cashier to join our Team here in Bath. The ideal candidate will have strong customer focus with good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent IT skills are required with a general understanding of legal accounting software.
Main Duties:
Working in a small team and providing a consistent, polite and customer focused service to our customers at all times
Using the SOS Practice Management System:
Check and Post electronic posting slips which have been completed by VP Customers
Check and Post Bills (including Legal Aid) which have been completed by VP Customers
Check Completion Statements for VP Customers
Check and Input supplier invoices emailed by VP Customers
Complete and interpret Office/Client/Deposit bank reconciliations
Produce and interpret reports for VP Customers
Liaise with VP customers using Email/Telephone
Essential Requirements:
Knowledge of Solicitor Accounts Rules
Experience working in a front line legal accounts environment
Fully conversant with double entry book keeping
Good IT skills – knowledge of Microsoft software
